Does the thought of making a wall display of photos intimidate you? Or is it something you love and are good at?

Either way, looking at some cool displays for inspiration can be helpful in planning out your own wall arrangements.

I have a love for canvas. I think they have a classic, timeless look that can work with almost any decor style. Here is some eye candy featuring canvases in wall displays. Enjoy!!

How FUN is this display?!?!  What a cool idea. Think of what a great conversation piece that would be for everyone that came into your home. Love it!! From canvaspress.com.

How about a collage where all the photos are touching? I like this look. It allows you to use lots of different images including smaller sizes while still creating a statement piece. This is really cool because you can fill any shape or size of space and use lots of photos to tell your story. I also LOVE how they used two different widths of canvases! That adds so much  to the display! From speedprodigital.com.  One tip for a display where the sides are touching: use command strips to hang the photos instead of nails. I have a display of framed prints that are touching and it is HARD to get them lined up just right with nails. Command strips makes it SOOO much easier! (the person who made the pictured collage used them too!) Also perfect if you are renting and can’t make holes in the walls!

I adore a good black and white. It’s such a timeless look. These square collages are great for those who need symmetry and balance in their wall displays. I would also suggest using command strips for this type of display, because it will drive you crazy to try to line them up perfectly with nails! Using words in the display is a great idea! You could use names, inspiring words, a quote, scripture, dates–so many options! From shelterness.com.

Gorgeous color photos also make a wonderful display. One tip for using color photos in a display is to choose clothing that goes with the decor and color scheme of the room. That way the photos really add to the overall decor and help pull the look together.  From adamhommerding.com.

Today I went through some model homes near me (just for fun) and guess what they had in the loft area? Yep, a canvas grouping! I snagged a photo to share. Doesn’t it make that area SO family friendly and happy?

If you desperately want a canvas collage on YOUR walls, but need some help visualizing and creating one, contact me and we can create one for YOU!

When we have our consultation before your photo session, send me a photo of your wall with a piece of paper taped to it. After we have an amazing session together, we can make different arrangements on your wall so you will know EXACTLY what sizes of photos to order and how to arrange them on your wall. SUPER fun, right?!!! It takes away the guesswork and relieves the pressure from you trying to figure out what to order.

Here is a sample of a possible wall arrangement I created from a recent session:
