This sweet couple and their parents were so welcoming from the moment I stepped in the door of their apartment. As a Scottsdale AZ baby photographer who does on-location newborn sessions, I have come across so many different home situations. Everything from huge, richly decorated homes to tiny apartments so small we had to do the session in the open doorway. This session was in a cute little apartment so we had to be creative to find good light.
One of my very, very favorite things to showcase is a mother’s connection with her baby. I’m sure it has nothing to do with the fact that I am a mother. Nope. Nothing at all to do with that.
This newborn session was one of my more difficult ones. Baby just wouldn’t stay settled for more than a micro second. But we were quick and patient and got some beautiful shots anyway. Looking at how peaceful she looks, you would never tell we had such a hard time getting these shots!
I’m not sure when I have seen a prettier baby. She just has the loveliest features and really was so very sweet. Even though she was cranky. She was cranky-sweet. 🙂
This grandpa was one of the nicest guys I have ever met. He absolutely welcomed me and do you see that sweet smile?? That is very representative of his personality. Just pure sugar, basically. You can sense the adoration he has for his little granddaughter through the photos. Grandma was a gem, too. She didn’t speak any English, so it was harder to get to know her but she was so nice as well.
