Moms (or soon to be moms) – this one’s for you.
Does the idea of scheduling family photos or Chandler newborn photography make you anxious?
And it’s not even trying to get kids to cooperate or planning outfits … it’s mainly that you have borderline crippling anxiety around how you’ll look in the photos?
I’ve been there.
As a mom myself, I know how it feels to be heavier than you want to be or wish your arms were smaller or your nose wasn’t so crooked. We’re our own worst critics right?
So, before you say, “I’m not photogenic” or “just take photos of the kids,” let me share why your session with me will be different.

I understand lighting, editing and angles.
I’ve spent a 11 years mastering the art of photography, focusing on how to use lighting, editing, and angles to flatter every mom. Whether you’re planning family portraits or Chandler newborn photography, my goal is to help you look and feel your best in every image.
For example, I make sure your arms and hands are placed just right to highlight or conceal, I position the light so it will be the most flattering to your features, and when it’s all said and done I use a little re-touching magic to make sure unwanted lumps and bumps are gone.
I’ll give you cute and flattering clothes to wear!
Ever stood in front of your closet feeling like you’ve got nothing to wear? Same girl!
My client closet is stocked with gorgeous, flattering dresses in all sizes, carefully selected to make you look and feel incredible!
Hair and Makeup For the Win!
I got you! My hair and makeup team will work with you before the session to create a look that feels beautiful while also authentic to you.
And honestly don’t we all feel better with a fresh face and fresh hair?! I know I do!

Posing Matters!
There are small tweaks and changes I make to poses that most of my clients don’t even notice I’m doing but they’ll make a world of difference in how you feel about yourself in photos.
I’m not forcing you into awkward and stuffy poses, but instead making little suggestions and tips as we go through the session.
For example, when sitting for a family pose, dad always seems to want to slouch down while mom sits straight up with her shoulder in front of dad. A simple redirect to dad to sit up straight and putting mom’s shoulder in front of dad makes a massive difference in the vibe and feel of the pose for you!
I focus on making memories, not saying “Say Cheese.”
Sessions with me are focused on play, laughter and genuine moments.
We all know the smiles kids (and dads) give when we say “Say Cheese” so instead I create atmospheres and use prompts that give genuine moments, reactions and joy!
I give you a safe space (literally).
I created my studio with every comfort and want my clients could ever have! It’s a private studio, so you’re not going to feel awkward taking photos in front of an audience.
I also include drinks, music and toys for the little ones to make sure you don’t have to remember to bring anything except yourself!
We’ve all had those moments of doubt, especially when it comes to how we see ourselves in photos.
But I promise to help you see your true self and your beauty in every image! Whether you’re looking for family portraits, maternity photos, or Chandler newborn photography, you deserve to be in the frame and feel confident while doing it.

Sally is a Mesa newborn photographer and motherhood portrait artist serving Phoenix, Chandler, Scottsdale, Gilbert, and Tempe. With over a decade of experience photographing maternity, newborns, babies, and families, she specializes in making tired, busy moms feel completely taken care of — from outfit planning all the way to choosing the perfect artwork for your walls. A mom of six herself, she knows how fast these little seasons go, and she’s on a mission to make sure your family’s story gets preserved in a way you’ll actually hold onto. When she’s not behind the camera, she’s probably wrangling her own crew and wishing someone would bring her a Diet Coke.
