Can you believe it’s almost Thanksgiving???
When it comes to Thanksgiving dinner, we all certainly have traditions that make the holiday special. Traditional foods, maybe traditional decorations, traditional family gatherings, etc. But it’s also fun to try some new things to add a little spunk to the day.
Here are three ideas that I came across that I want to try this year.
These printables from Craftaholics Anonymous are so cute and so easy I can print them out and have my kids make them for me. These utensil holders will add just a little flair to your table. You can even print out a sign you can frame and use in your holiday decor. This site has TONS of great holiday ideas!!
My kids LOVE Mad Libs. They can be so hilarious! My Sister’s Suitcase has some holiday themed Mad Libs that will entertain the kids while you are getting everything ready for dinner. When the kids are happy and not anxiously awaiting the food, it makes a better atmosphere all around. These Mad Libs should do the trick!
I saw a couple different options for paper place mats. You can make your own (if you have good handwriting or a child with good hand writing). Here is a sample of a simple place mat you can make yourself. (from The Cottage at 341 South)
If you have a younger crowd you might want to print some of these place mats that are all fun and games. Heck, even I would like to sit around after dinner and do these puzzles! Whatever Dee-Dee Wants has lots of cute printables you can use for your feast to give it some pizzazz.
What are the little things YOU do to make Thanksgiving special? Leave comments below with your ideas, I would love to hear!
