Three Tiny Miracles

As a triplet newborn photographer in Phoenix, Arizona, I can confidently say this was one of the most memorable newborn sessions I’ve ever photographed.

This sweet family welcomed three beautiful baby girls after an IVF journey that turned into the surprise of a lifetime. What began as hopes for a baby became three tiny miracles all at once.

I had already photographed their maternity session, so getting to see them return to the studio with their girls finally in their arms felt incredibly full-circle.

And somehow, despite there being three newborns involved, the session was surprisingly calm.

Photographing Newborn Triplets Is a Fun Challenge

A lot of people ask me what photographing triplets is actually like.

My answer? It’s definitely a challenge—but the best kind.

Triplet newborn sessions require:

• Careful planning
• Safe posing
• Patience
• Flexibility
• Lots of soothing breaks

But honestly, these girls made my job easy.

They were so peaceful throughout the session and seemed happiest whenever they were close together. Watching them settle and calm down as soon as they were side-by-side was one of the sweetest things ever.

It genuinely felt like they already knew they were a team.

Individual Photos and Sister Moments

One thing I really wanted for this session was to capture each baby individually while also documenting their connection together.

We photographed:

Every baby already had her own little personality, which made the session even more fun.

And while posing three newborns together definitely takes patience, the final images were completely worth it.

There is something so special about documenting siblings this early—especially sisters who have already spent months side-by-side before entering the world together.

With triplets? I can only imagine how quickly it flies by.

Those early weeks are often a blur of:
