Newborn Photography

Your newborn is the center of your world. Whether it’s your first baby, or you are a growing family, preserving those first moments is where my passion lies as a newborn photographer.  In a newborn session with SWP, you will get a combination of posed baby shots as well as precious photos of your family.  My goal is not only to showcase your beautiful new baby, but to highlight the new family unit that has been created. Want to know more about a session with me? Click here to download my Client Guide. If you are ready to book me as your newborn photographer, contact me and let’s get your session scheduled!

I also LOVE capturing baby’s first year! Your little one will change so quickly and every stage is worth remembering. From birth to the first birthday, I would be honored to photograph your child for you.

“We were a little apprehensive when scheduling our family’s first ever photo session. However, Sally’s professionalism immediately put us at ease. She had many great photo ideas. Sally made everything feel so comfortable and natural, which is everything we could’ve hoped for when selecting our photographer.” -Alexis R.

When do I schedule my newborn photography session?

Babies change so fast–daily in the beginning. That is why the ideal age to take newborn portraits is when baby is between 5-9 days new. This is when babies are still super sleepy and curly. We can get them to pose in the sweetest little sleepy poses! It’s a good idea to schedule your session during your last trimester of pregnancy. This will ensure you can schedule the ideal date for your newborn photos.

Do I need to bring props to my newborn photography session?

As you can see from my gallery, I have a very simple style when it comes to newborn photography.  There aren’t a lot of props to distract from the baby. This lets your beautiful baby take center stage. I have everything we need for your newborn session. However, if you have a special blanket or prop, feel free to bring it. We will definitely try to incorporate it into your session.
